Roscoe Taylor, 90

Roscoe Taylor, 90 of Pineville, passed away to his heavenly home on Saturday, January 20, 2024. He was born in Cary on October 8, 1933, a son of the late Wilse and Rosie Hensley Taylor. He had been a coal miner. He was devoted to his nieces and nephews and deeply loved his great-nieces and great-nephews and their children as his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Thurman Taylor and wife, Dollie, Sherman Taylor, Herman Taylor and wife, Willie Jean, Truman Taylor and wife, Alice, Howard Taylor and wife, Ruth, and Willard Taylor; and sisters, Dell Laws and husband, Charlie, Senie Smith and husband, Frank, Mary Watts and husband, Lee, Dollie Grubb and husband, Roy, and Ethel Taylor and husband, Matt.

Survivors include a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and many other special family members and friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the Pineville Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dustin Hensley, Luke Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Travis Mosley, and Matthew Mullins.
