Imogene Leah Bussell Combs

Imogene Leah Bussell Combs, age 56, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. She was born on February 3, 1968, in Middlesboro, KY, the daughter of the late Lewis Bussell and Lorraine Bussell.

She was a proud graduate of Middlesboro High School, where she developed a love for knowledge that stayed with her throughout her life. Imogene’s kind spirit and unwavering love will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jonathan Bussell, and her sister, Cindy Yeary.

She is survived by her husband, David Combs; daughter, Ciara Denee’ Portillo Burr; son, Zachary Carlos Portillo; her mother, Lorraine Bussell; grandchildren, Scarlette Alivia Burr, and Ester Grace Portillo; and her brothers, Aaron, and Steve Bussell.

Per the family’s request, there will be no services. In honoring her memory, let us celebrate a life well-lived and continue to carry forward the love and compassion she shared with all those around her.
