Alice Faye Ingram, 76

July 19, 2024

Alice Faye Ingram, age 76, of Tazewell, TN entered her Heavenly home on Friday, July 5, 2024. She was born on February 21, 1948, in Middlesboro, KY to the late Condy and Eva Hurst.

Alice professed her faith in God at an early age. Throughout her life, Alice was known for her unwavering faith. She could often be found singing joyfully in her church’s choir or listening to gospel music at home. Alice cherished her family above all else. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought immense joy to her life and she doted on them endlessly. Alice is remembered for enjoying time spent tending to flowers. Her green thumb brought life and beauty to her surroundings. She also found amusement in connecting with others on Facebook. She was always prompt to “like” posts from her friends and family, keeping her in touch with those she loved.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William Arthur Ingram; grandparents, Wheeler and Hattie Hurst; sisters, Barbara Helen Parks, Carol Jean Ball and Otella Hurst; and brother, Davey Hurst.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, William Russell (Deena) Ingram of Big River, CA, Shelia Diana Burnett of Ansted, WV, Donna (Tim) Widner of New Tazewell, TN, Joyce Kay (Joshua) Huffhines of Newport, TN, and Kimberley (Matthew) Putney of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Joe (Ber) Ingram, Todd (Brenda) Ingram, Laura (William) Corey, Dandi (Arturo) Dorame, Brittany (Matt) Clark, Kaitlynn Fuson (Tyler Baird), Jeremiah Fuson, Allison Seals, Melody Seals, Bentley Putney, and Alexander Condy Wray Putney; great-grandchildren, Imi Ingram, Jayden Ingram, William Clark, Carson Clark, Eva Clark, Carter Baird, Gavin Corey, and William Beau Corey; former sons-in-law, James Burnett and Jeffery Fuson; special friends, Callie Spangler, Jacob Brock, and Larry “Peewee” Shelton as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Preston and Luenette Smith, Mickey Devino, and Bobby Widner for their generosity and kindness in helping to care for Alice.
