Johnny E. Partin, 79

Johnny E. Partin, of Ohio City, OH., passed away quietly Sunday morning, July 28, 2024 at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, OH. He was 79 years old when the Good Lord called him Home.
Johnny was born in Straight Creek, Ky., in the Bradfordtown community just outside of Pineville, Ky. He became a permanent resident of Ohio when he moved there in 1989 to be with his family while looking for work. He went to work for Goodyear in St. Mary’s, Ohio in 1990 and worked there until he retired in 2011.
Johnny was an avid fisherman, gardener and all around outdoorsman. He loved nature, reading, and his grandchildren. He was also a Vietnam War Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the Youth of Christ Church near Cash, Arkansas when he was young and became a follower of the Primitive Baptist faith later in life.
Family members that preceded him in death: wife - Marlene, daughter - Trina Renee, mother - Annie Slusher, father - Charles William (Bud) Partin, sister - Pauline Ellis.
Survivors include his two sons - Shawn Partin and Bobby (Betsy) Partin, brothers - Charles (Nancy) Partin and Terry (Yung) Slusher, sister - Mary (Mike) Compston, grandchildren - Emma Jo, Anna Marie & Connor, and great-grandson Alister. Along with a great number of nieces and nephews
A celebration of Johnny’s life will be held at a later date. No burial or funeral services will be held a this time. The family requests that anyone wanting to send flowers or any other items to, instead, please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
