Erika Nicole Ramsey Griffin, 34
August 23, 2024
Erika Nicole Ramsey Griffin, age 34, of Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 18, 2024 with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Middlesboro on July 28, 1990 to A.J. and Cindy Ramsey.
There are not enough words to describe what a wonderful and special young lady Erika was. The best wife, daughter, sister and friend, Erika loved her family more than anything. She especially loved being an aunt to her nieces, whom she absolutely adored. Her sweet spirit and bright smile could light up any room. To know Erika was to love her, and many people were blessed to share in her friendship, having worked for 13 years at First State Bank, and recently becoming an Accounts Payable Clerk for the City of Middlesboro. Whether it was her coworkers or customers, she was kind and sweet to all whom she encountered, and she left a lasting impression with her love.
In her free time, you could find Erika curled up in her p.j.’s watching movies and drinking coffee. A lover of all things Halloween and Christmas, she enjoyed decorating for her favorite holidays, and it goes without saying that she absolutely loved Hobby Lobby. All who were blessed to know Erika will remember what an amazing woman she was, her heart of gold, and her sweet smile, which will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her papaw Jimmy Heck, mamaw Nettie Ramsey, and brother Blaze Evans.
Left to cherish her memory, loving husband of 6 years, Daniel Griffin, mother Cindy Ramsey (Eli Wilson), father A.J. Ramsey, sister Chelsie Smith (Josh), brother Jimmy Ramsey (Jessica), grandmother “Mom Deb” Heck, aunt Jamie Mullins (Jimmy), special nieces she loved Paisley Ramsey and Harper Smith, nieces Arianna and Blaykleigh Smith, nephew Ethan Owens, mother and father-in-law Tina Griffin and Danny Griffin, sister-in-law Lindsay Owens, cousins who were like brothers, Quintin “Bub” Mullins (Tiffany), Jesse Hatfield (Kristen), cousins Whitney Mullins, Kaylee Mullins, and Connor “Hadden” Mullins, very special friend Carl Beaty, her beloved dog Zeus, as well as her coworkers, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends too numerous to name, but all who will miss her so dearly.
