Bobcats win in Nashville
Bell County traveled to Nashville and picked up a victory.
NASVILLE, TN - The Bobcats traveled to Nashville for a matchup against traditional city powerhouse Antioch High School and came away with a 69-49 victory.
After trailing early the Cats came up with key stops to tie the game to end the 1st quarter 19-19.
To start the second quarter Antioch went to all stater 6’8 Center Ta’khyan Whitset a NC State commit early and often.
Racing out to a 27-21 lead midway through the second. That’s when the Bobcats starting finding their stride and making shot after shot from deep and a fury of half court defend to take a 31-29 lead at the break.
To start the 3rd the Cats picked up where they left off by making back breaking shot each time down the floor. Lead by a barrage of three point shots from Cameron Hall (18) and leading scorer Ethan Buell (30) the game turned into an up and down free for all as the Cats took a 10 point league into the final frame 39-51.
Much like all year the Cats began to roll in the four and the rout was on as Blake Burnett (6) controlled the pace and tempo of the game while picking the defense apart with multiple assists to his open teammates. Cayden Huff won the battle of the boards and controlling the paint while outsized on every possession.
