Peggy Ann Hendrickson, age 74, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away at her home on Thursday, July 25, 2024. She was born October 28, 1949, in Leslie County, KY; the daughter of the late Quill Vanover and Anna Mae Smith Vanover.
Peggy was known for her love of the outdoors. Whether it was spending time at the beach or simply taking a stroll in nature, she found solace and joy in the beauty of the world around her. Her passion for country music brought a rhythm to her life that never ceased to uplift her spirit. Attending concerts was not just a hobby for Peggy; it was a way for her to connect with the music that spoke to her soul.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Ray Hash, Jr.; daughter, Tonya Price; granddaughter, Tabitha Faye Hash; brothers, Ben Vanover, Ernest Vanover, Quillen Vanover, Jr., and Virgil Vanover; and sisters, Rose Vanover Daniels and Traci Conner.
Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family members including her husband, Amos Hendrickson; sisters, Alma Upton, and Mary (Howard) Warwick; grandchildren, Tasha Lynn Overton, Shawn D. Shelby, Nicky Hash and Angela Hash; nephews, David Warwick, Gene Vanover, Andrew Vanover, Jody Vanover, Donald Gene Upton, and Tommy Upton; nieces, Teresa Berry, Lora Daniels, Terri Lynn Daniels, Donna Upton, Candy Potts, Michelle Smith, Angie Vanover, Dawn Vanover Schulz, and Melissa Vanover Deal; her beloved little dog, Bella, as well as a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends who were touched by her kindness and grace.
The family of Peggy Ann Hendrickson will receive friends on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Justin Warwick presiding. Music will be provided by the Warwick Family singers.
Graveside services for Peggy Ann Hendrickson will immediately follow the funeral service at Mountain View Cemetery in Harrogate, TN.
Pallbearers will be David Warwick, D.J. Warwick, Justin Warwick, Joe Warwick, and Cody Anderson.
Peggy’s remarkable spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace knowing she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
